# NP Ledger MCP Server

NP Ledger is a nonprofit fund accounting SaaS. This MCP server provides
semantic bookkeeping tools for AI agents (Claude CoWork, Claude Desktop, Cursor).

## Read Tools (all tiers)

- get_organization_summary — org name, fiscal year, plan tier, fund count
- list_funds — all funds with type and current balance
- list_accounts — chart of accounts with type and balance
- get_fund_balance(fund_name) — balance for a specific fund
- search_transactions(date_from?, date_to?, fund?, account?, contact?, description?, amount_min?, amount_max?) — up to 50 results
- get_transaction(transaction_id) — full detail including line items
- list_unpaid_bills(overdue_only?) — AP bills pending payment
- get_grant_status(grant_name) — budget/spent/remaining for a project
- run_report(type, date_from, date_to, fund?) — types: trial_balance, activities, financial_position, fund_transactions
- get_pending_action_status(action_id) — check status of a pending write action

## Confirmation Mode

Tokens can be configured to require admin approval before write actions execute.
When a write call is queued for approval, the tool returns a pending_approval status
with an action_id. Poll get_pending_action_status to check when approved.
